Use template variables and sample values

Meta needs sample values to understand how each variable will appear.

Variable types

Choose Number for placeholders such as {{1}} or Name for placeholders such as {{customer_name}}. Named parameters use lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores.

Sample values

Provide realistic non-sensitive examples, such as Philip for a customer name or ORD-1042 for an order reference. Samples are submitted for review but are not the values sent to every recipient.

Local CRM mapping

After sync, use Map your variable with CRM field and select Update. Mapping is saved locally and is not submitted to Meta.

Avoid format rejection

Do not place a variable at the very start or end of the body. Do not use missing, duplicated, or malformed braces.
